In Japan, HFW is engaged in educational and awareness raising projects.
These projects are carried out through the commitment of many volunteers, which is one of the characteristics of HFW.
Men and women of all ages are volunteering at places ranging from Hokkaido in the north to Okinawa in the south. In spite of this diversity among the participants, everyone has the same hope of creating a world free from hunger. The volunteers are carrying out activities including flea markets, study meetings, concerts, and exhibitions. |
■ Education Works
We have been trying to enable the citizens of Japan to understand that we all have to consider hunger as our own problem, and calling for acts to stop hunger.
|
HFW organizes symposiums by inviting specialists, as well as various events such as workshops and charity concerts. It also participates in various events and functions organized by other organizations. Volunteers of Hunger Free World take initiatives in planning and organizing these events.

| Visits to Developing Countries |
 |
HFW organizes visits and tours to project sites in developing countries for its members.
Such visits give the members good opportunities to have firsthand experience to confirm the impact of projects, meet the people and encourage each other, and feel that they are also members of a big global family.

Ending Hunger Game is a simulation game to learn the present situation of the world and create a world that is free from hunger in cooperation with other participants.
