In the former part of the event, participants listened to the speech by Ms. Mamada, a HFW staff.

To commemorate the publication of “30 Ways to End World Hunger,” Hunger Free World held the launch of an event entitled, “What we can accomplish at the thought of MOTTAINA I (Such a waste!)” On May 12. We selected “food loss and food waste” from among themes in the book and 26 participants applied their thoughts to the food problems in a workshop format.

Participants wrote down things which lead to food waste on sticky notes and arranged them in order

Make a transparent fridge so that we don't forget unused food is there! Ideas with much originality were given.
